Foundation Enrolment Information
Key information for Parents and Caregivers on enrolling in Foundation at Alfredton Primary School
Parent Tours for 2027 Enrolments
We would like to welcome new and current families that have a student starting school in 2027 to attend for a tour. The principal will be conducting tours on the following dates.
Tour 1: Wednesday 22nd April 9.30am-10.00am
Tour 2: Thursday 21st May 10.00am-10.30am
Tour 3: Monday 1st June 12.00pm-12.30pm
Please arrive at the office 5 minutes before the tour starts. You do not need to book and you are welcome to bring your child with you for the tour. Starting school is such an exciting milestone, and we’re here to make the transition as smooth as possible for both you and your child! Enrolment forms will be accepted from 20th April 2026.
Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) for 2027
- Use Find my School to locate your designated neighborhood school (referred to as your local school) and other nearby government schools.
- Contact us here at Alfredton Primary to book a school tour or to learn more about the school and the enrolment application process.
- Download the ‘Student Enrolment Form” and complete it. The school can also provide you with a copy of the form to complete.
- Submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep)
- Once your child’s enrolment has been confirmed, we will require the following documents:
- Enrolment Form – Click on enrolment for the green tab below (you can print off the form or collect one from the school office)
- Birth Certificate
- Immunisation Statement from Medicare
- Your child’s most recent school report (if transferring from another school).
- 100 Point residential check – Please click on the link below for information.
- You will be notified of the outcome of your application
- Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2026
- Your child will start Foundation (Prep) late January 2027.
