Key information for Parents and Caregivers on enrolling in Foundation at Alfredton Primary School

Parent Tours for 2026 Enrolments

There is no need to book a spot for these tours, please just turn up on the day.

Wednesday 30th April 10am – 10.30am

Tuesday 6th May 12pm – 12.30pm

Thursday 12th June 10am – 10.30am

Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) for 2026

  1. Use Find my School to locate your designated neighborhood school (referred to as your local school) and other nearby government schools.
  2. Contact us here at Alfredton Primary to book a school tour or to learn more about the school and the enrolment application process.
  3. Download the ‘Student Enrolment Form” and complete it. The school can also provide you with a copy of the form to complete.
  4. Submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep) Date to be advised.
  5. Once your child’s enrolment has been confirmed, we will require the following documents:
    • Enrolment Form – Click on enrolment for the green tab below (you can print off the form or collect one from the school office)
    • Birth Certificate
    • Immunisation Statement from Medicare
    • Your child’s most recent school report (if transferring from another school).
    • 100 Point residential check – Please click on the link below for information.
  6. You will be notified of the outcome of your application late July.
  7. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2025
  8. Your child will start Foundation (Prep) late January 2026.
