Seemore's Challenge

Seemore's Challenge is an initiative to get children exercising. In three teams the students cover the equivalent distance to the Hawaii Iron Man Race:
3.8km swimming; 180km cycling; 42km running. Alfredton Primary School has made the Challenge an annual event. The $226 we raised will be used to send a child to a camp for kids who have received burns.

Swimming

The first venue for our Seemore's Challenge was the Ballarat Aquatic Centre's indoor 25m pool. The team had to swim 3.8km, but as 8 students and 3 teachers swam at least 550m each (22 laps), the team covered over 6km, smashing the required total.

Running
We met at St Patrick's Point at Lake Wendouree, Ballarat's premier distance running venue and headed off for a quarter lap of the lake and back again. The team had to run 42km, but as 10 students and 5 teachers/parents ran 3km each, the team covered 45km.
