On Wednesday 23rd of March, the builders started laying down the foundation for laying the cement slab...

Watch out for the pipes.

The old toilets have been removed.

The boards and mesh are ready.

The portables were moved north to allow for the slab.

March 24th, the slab goes down...

Piping in the concrete.

Bending the backs.

Making good progress.

Nearly done.

and on the 19th of April...

Up goes the frame.

5E & 5S's future home.

and on the 4th of May...

Internal framing

Roof preparation.

A balanced diet is important when you're that high.

Brace yourselves

And on the holidays...

The roofing iron makes its appearance

Taking shape.

More weatherproofing

It's now recognisable as a classroom.

And on the 27th...

Mr W visits the Ladies' Room

Shelving for bags and shoes.

Shared Grade 5 & 6 storeroom (currently builders' storeroom)

The carpet goes down.

On the 4th of August, they laid down the bark

Landscaping

The path to the netball court beckons

On August the 8th, almost done!

South side. Soon to be home to 6D & 6M

The sandpit looks inviting.

The tape should keep out intruders.

No, they managed to get in anyway.

Note: Starlog September 15 2005.
Despite everything else being beautiful a plumbing issue is still thwarting 5E, 5S, 6D and 6M making their final journey from their temporary lodgings into their splendid new digs. Fingers crossed that Day 1 of Term 4 will dawn as moving day.
