On the 21st of February 2002 the annual Alfredton Primary School Sports were held on the Recreation Reserve. There were five events held discus, shot put, high jump, long jump and triple jump but the Prep and ones events were a little different .We all had fun at most of the events but only some people got blue ribbons but that was ok because we had fun anyway .

It's a long day and Mrs Kent is well preparedMother duck with ducklings

The weather was overcast at the start of the day and we thought it was going to rain but thankfully it didn't. At the end of the day the weather cleared up and got a bit warmer as well

After we had tea we settled down for the main event of the whole day: the sprints. Most of the people competed in the sprints excepted for the injured and the teachers. There was also the circular relay but only division 1 competed in the circular relay. Then there were the shuttle relays. All the people that didn't compete in the circular relay competed in this relay and both types of relays were very exciting.

Teachers' Race

The three legged race was just as exciting. Mr. Westaway and Kate from Gillies came a draw with Ms Howman and Mrs. Ryan from Eureka, but I think Gillies really won the three legged race although it was called a draw. I think that was the funniest event.

Take your mark - but my name's David! Yo, Homeboy!
Breakneck speed We didn't come last

Eventually Eureka won the Sports but the scores were Eureka 961, Sturt 882, Lalor 862 and Gillies 802.
